For the longest time, I couldn’t see “ Ed Sullivan” from “Bye, Bye Birdie” without smiling and giggling a little. I would start rolling on the floor when Paul Lynde looks at the camera and says, in full earnestness, “Ed,I love you!” It’s the absolute topper on an overwrought, pompous song about being on TV.

@brendo. I liked Lady Bird a lot, too, though unlike you, I found #Barbie profound. I loved the musical parts (reminded me of #ByeByeBirdie). I also loved how capacious it was: #death, #life, #body image, #toxic #masculinity, #parenthood. Funny and moving.

update: The text that appears in the “Search” bar is now just “Search”. The word “Twitter” is gone. But it doesn’t say “X” either. LOL, what if they simply chose a color for the text that matches the background, like white text on a white document? Oh that would be epic. Too bad the text isn’t selectable, or I could test the theory… #birdsite #byebyebirdie
