Scenes from Oroville, CA
Oroville State Theatre, opened in 1928. Lovingly restored. It's on the National Register of Historic Places. I wished I could have seen the inside. I kept finding more interesting things as I was walking and driving around the area. #history #architecture #SpanishColonialRevival #NationalRegisterofHistoricPlaces #NRHP #theatre #theater #neon #Oroville #ButteCounty #California #GoldCountry -
Scenes from Oroville, CA
The Mother Orange Tree is the oldest living orange tree in Northern California. Planted in 1856, and transplanted twice from its original location. My Dad moved from Michigan to California in 1954. He loved the fact that he could grow citrus fruit in our backyard. So, we always had orange and lemon trees in our backyard and fresh citrus fruit right from the tree. #citrus #MotherOrangeTree #GoldCountry #Oroville #California #ButteCounty #history #landmark -
Scenes from Oroville, CA
The Jewish Cemetery in Oroville. I stopped to take a few photos in the not ideal harsh afternoon sunlight. With my limited time (work trip), I tried to find as many interesting things (to me) as I could in Oroville. And surprisingly, there were many. #photography #cemetery #Jewish #Oroville #California #SacramentoValley #ButteCounty #GoldCountry #history #GoldRush
