This part is sloped upwards meaning that #cyclists are usually slower and, if nothing else, would hinder #MotorTraffic, possibly causing frustration and the urge to overtake #bikers dangerously. The solution here is to allow #cycles and pedestrians on this path. The #BusLane is only active on weekday mornings.

There was an #accident involving two #buses at the #buslane parking lot of the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Complex (#CIQ) in Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (#BSI) in #JohorBahru
The incident occurred at 5.50am on Monday (March 18) after one of the buses was reversing out of the parking lot, and crashed into an incoming #bus from behind
The impact caused one of the passengers to suffer a minor injury

#RapidKL has announced that the operational hours for its dedicated #buslane on Jalan Ampang is being expanded.
The special lane now set to run during evening #peakhour starting from November 15.
When trials began in July, it was announced that the dedicated #bus lane would be in place during the 6am to 9am peak hours on weekdays.
Now, it will also operate from 4.30pm to 7pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

Three new bus lanes will be opened around Kuala Lumpur and are expected to be operational next month, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
They are on Jalan Cheras-Loke Yew stretching 11.5km, Jalan Kuching (5.7km) and Jalan Genting Klang (8.7km).
“We will also improve and extend the existing special bus lane along Jalan Ampang from Oct 16,” he adds.

After much delay over the years, Johor Bahru’s Bus Rapid Transit (#BRT) is targeted for stage-one operation rollout by the third quarter of 2025.
Deemed as the backbone of the Iskandar region’s revamped #publictransport system known as Iskandar Rapid Transit (#IRT), the 55km high-capacity dedicated #buslane is set to feature three lines, namely #IskandarPuteri with 15km stretch, #Skudai (18km), and #Tebrau (22km).

On 12 September 2023, Minister of Transport held a press conference regarding the response to the Twelfth Malaysian Plan (RMK12) Half Term Review for the Transportation Sector.
The press conference was organized after he took a bus from Ampang to the LRT Masjid Jamek Station via the special bus lane provided by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

I am a mean, nasty person. Yesterday as I approached the protected bus-taxi-and-bicycle lane in Harold's Cross coming up to Emmet Bridge I saw a private car entering it at a red light. I went in front and cycled sloooooooooowly from there to the bridge in front of the car
