I thought that the £2 bus cap sounded like a good thing, but if they're paying for it by cutting "international climate projects" then I am concerned. Which projects are they scrapping?
Tackling #ClimateChange really should be any government's number one priority, and it sounds like Andy Burn 'Em really hasn't got the memo on that one (especially in light of his enthusiasm for drilling for more oil)..

While I agree that “no one should be priced out of good transport links”, across much of the country the problem isn’t price but availability- if you change buses on your trip or use buses every day £2 each leg is likely to more than the £26 for a weekly season ticket or £90 a month (notwithstanding that that’s a lot more cash to find at once to realise the saving)… and it doesn’t help when the bus network is sparse and low frequency so impractical or impossible to use for your trip.

@blepharon such an utterly stupid and self defeating policy, and Starmer arrogantly saying these are the 'tough decisions' he needs to make and for us all to shut up about it.
This policy is regressive in every sense of the word, and that's why he chose it.
