We went up Mullaghmore in the Burren yesterday. I'll never tire of these extraordinary hills. The two visible ones are Knockanes (Cnocán, "little hill") and Slieve Roe (Sliabh Rua, "red mountain")

I was almost as startled by these two characters as they were by me 🤣🤣
Bumping into Cows, Goats or Sheep is a fairly regular occurrence in the Burren, but this pair of Pigs is a first for me.
They weren't free roaming but were in a large fenced off area that I happened to walk past.

Anschließend haben wir, in der Nähe der Aillwee Caves, einem Höhlensystem, in dem Bärenskelette gefunden wurden die man nun besichtigen kann, eine #Käserei besucht, uns durchprobiert und anstandshalber auch ein Stück gekauft...war aber auch lecker... besonders der geräucherte Gouda nach irischer Art🧀😋

Am späten Nachmittag erreichten wir dann unser Zwischenziel für die nächsten Tage #Kinvara (irisch Cinn Mhara, deutsch Kopf des Meeres) ein kleines Hafenstädtchen am Südrand des #County_Galway an der #Galway_Bay nahe der Grenze zum #Burren im #County_Clare.
