In what nimby world is 11 stories too tall? Don’t people understand we all have a right to have places to live? It’s called a housing crisis for a reason. This is a fast growing urban area with many older buildings that are already 20+ stories. It’s on a busy main road steps from a major highway with mixed retail and commercial, not a quiet side street. In difficult times let’s open our doors to help. At our Open Doors Community we offer a free Thursday Lunch: geared toward seniors at noon on Thursdays. This program is offered free of charge, though a pay-as-you-are-able donation is always appreciated. All are welcome!
There’s also a free Tuesday dinner, foodbank, clothing bank and more.

But I’m looking forward to walking on Feb.24th for our annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. #CNOY24 🇨🇦 Every year 1000’s of Canadians do this walk to raise funds for local programs that help people who are hungry, homeless and hurting.
