  1. Probably more annoying than I care to admit, but I had intermittent connectivity to my music server this morning.

OpenSubsonic client -> mobile internet -> VPS -> home server -> Navidrome container

And I strongly suspect my mobile internet connection, as this has happened to me before with other cloud services.

Nevertheless, it probably does make sense to switch out the VPS with a #BunnyNet container to take advantage of their CDN.

  2. Taking another look at #BunnyNet CDN as an alternative to #Cloudflare and so I just put my newly resurrected #GoToSocial instance behind it as a test and it seems to be working (after a few DNS breakages)! Anyway, follow @josh to give the bunnies and my server a bit of workout if you wanna. Cheers!

  3. I learned that Bunny CDN can send logs from each of its edge nodes back to your own server via syslog. So I set up @goaccess for a live readout. This all took about 20 minutes with a clanker.

    #bunnynet #goaccess

  4. Bé! Doncs l'actualització a Stalwart 0.16 per fi finalitzada i he aprofitat per canviar les DNS a BunnyNet per aprofitar que ara Stalwart gestiona les DNS... De moment tot bé! #Stalwart #MailServer #BunnyNet #SelfHosting
  5. #Wordpress x #BunnyCDN experiments part 2 (see previous toot)

#BunnyNet did a good job this time... the site stayed up, ouf. @Michaël (@mirou) reported trouble loading the site initially, but then it worked.

A visualization of requests (see photo attached).

Not sure how conclusive this first test is because the blog post's cover image didn't render on the fediverse... and I shared it from my GoToSocial account, which has 3k followers. I suppose the tide of requests wasn't super impactful.

The true test would be boosting that post from my Mastodon account... which has 13k followers 😟

    Let's do it

My blog relies on Git and Builds. They’ve been down and at first I couldn’t deploy my site to my static host, .

This triggered me to create a local script that runs all the fetch/build steps as an alternative pathway to upload...

  7. I was planning to switch from #Cloudflare to #bunnynet: CF tried to gently persuade me to upgrade to a paid plan that I don’t need, and I’m also concerned about service outages. But I discovered that #bunnynet doesn’t support domain name transfers: some of my domains were purchased and are managed through Cloudflare Registrar. I’m not sure what to do next. 🤔

WOOT! finally has early access! (I missed this notification was one month ago) Really looking forward to using it for my storage needs. Being a big fan of their CDN and , I have high hopes.

[Shameless plug] I've written about migrating my Hugo to Sourcehut and Bunny, leaving GitHub. If you're thinking of switching, you can check it out here:

Great move away from GitHub, as shared by @cass! 🥳

I read her post via my RSS feed and saw my post about switching to Bunny mentioned (thanks for linking my guide, Cassie)! If you're still using GitHub for your source codes or for hosting your free static site—definitely reconsider alternatives.

No clue what happened to one of my blogs. I just visited it and there's this dodgy looking . I meant to move the static files from to but haven't—doing it now!

    Update:
Move to Bunny.net + SourceHut successful! I had to use my own guide as I forgot some steps of using builds

I just have my WP left to move from Hostinger!

As some of you might know, I'm a big fan of Bunny.net.

I use them for my static site hosting and CDN. Just saw they launched a new project called hop-js for / projects.

    New How-to Guide on

    burgeonlab.com/blog/migrate-gi

It's a thorough guide of switching from an automated CI static site deployment workflow using GitHub Pages & GitHub Actions 🔄 to SourceHut Git and Builds + hosting on Bunny.net Storage & Bunny CDN.

  17. Naty S @eclecticpassions ·

It took longer than expected for me (a day on and off) to get builds workflow to work with Bunny's SFTP limitations but I got it working! This is definitely going into a blog post! Really happy it worked out. Sourcehut Git repo + Builds + Bunny.net Storage + CDN replacing GitHub Git repo + Actions + Pages!

    New post on ✍️

    ➡️ burgeonlab.com/blog/hosting-st

Finally decided to take my first actions on migrating away from GitHub.com (#GiveUpGitHub) by moving my burgeonlab.com static blog out of GitHub Pages to Bunny.net Storage + CDN.

Also, I've decided to go for @sourcehut as my Git repo host—but that warrants its own post.

  19. Naty S @eclecticpassions ·

Made a trial account on # BunnyCDN Maybe it's time to move one of my static sites from Github Pages over to Bunny's Storage + Pull Zone?

There's bunny-launcher.net/ which seems handy for deployment. But I need to learn a bit because I'm in unfamiliar territory!

  20. @matdevdug Interesting! What kind of CDN did you choose? #leaseweb, #bunnynet, #keycdn or something else?

Interesting vectors... Quite the pointers this scan. Was scanned last 1yr ago. Showed up as malicious. Scans clean now except for the #malware found as a #GammaGroup shim caught nao. 🎣

Caught a bit o' Meta also in the callback graph. Huh.

  23. Huh. _TWO_ badbunny hosts with the #SystemApp #GammaGroup #FinFisher #FinSpy #Finsky callback to client but ... This time the scanned host comes up with interesting results after being caught. Both back to back attack attempts.

One host was scanned about a year ago and the other, another attack node quite frequently used, was scanned less than a month ago.

    #Datapacket.Com #BunnyNet #InfosecExchange #infosec #fediverse #fediadmin

Typical attack pattern. After detection an attempt of using the #QuicksandModule was sent to client, tried crashing client. SystemUI crash attempt, etc.
