Birds of Bundaberg
Christmas 2023 At Christmas I had the opportunity to travel to Moores Park Beach just north of the township of Bundaberg. It's a bit of a heaven for all sorts of birds and a few animals as well. Right next to Moores Park Beach is a lagoon that is home to Egrets, Cattle Egrets, Royal Spoon Bills, White Ibis and many more species. If you are very lucky you can find a flock of Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos. The Bundaberg Botanical Gardens is yet another heaven and will worth the visit as its very […] -

Ugh I should’ve taken the 5.30am train from Bundaberg. The 10am train is packed to the brim, including noisy kids, and the economy seats are narrow. Not much fun. I’ve managed to relocate to an aisle seat, so I may survive.
If trains are this full, why are there only one or two between Bundaberg and Brisbane each day? Put more trains on, I say.
