CW: Snake in the chicken run today.
It did not appear to have an ingested mice in it but it also made me wonder where the secret hole is that the mice and snakes are using to get in there. I haven't been able to find their latest hole. Maybe they tunneled further away from the prison walls this time...

CW: A snake
There were two baby flycatchers (Say's Phoebe) near where this snake was. One of the parent birds had been calling and I thought it was a cat around or just the chickens causing it. There's a stack of junk below the nest to prevent the cats (in the night mostly), but I didn't expect a snake could be an issue. Maybe this has always been a thing because they've seem to have lost the babies quite often it seems like.
It was escorted to the tall grass.
