I keep hearing of "everyday notebook" recently and it grates me. The idea itself is neat, but it annoys me how it's framed as "Bullet Journal without the artsy part".

But the original Bullet Journal idea was already minimalistic and simple!

It's not BuJo's fault that it got so distorted by social media influencers that it lost its original meaning and functionality.

@FreitagsFrage @PaulaToThePeople Kalender (granular) ist digital, darüber hinaus sind alle der genannten Aspekte in meinem Bullet Journal analog abgebildet (inklusive Kalender der wichtigsten Events/Meilensteine). Für mich war der Umstieg auf das #bulletjournal ein riesiger Schritt in Richtung geistiger Gesundheit.

But probably the proudest workflow I found for myself using #bulletjournal (aka #bujo) and my #dicebaby game is by labeling my todo list in a simple .txt file and using #Nano syntax highlighting to organize importance.

Not perfect by any means…but grabbing all the good #ADHD qualities from The Bullet Journal, as mentioned by author Ryder Carroll but searchable and easy to transport, as argued by Derek Sivers (ref: https://sive.rs/plaintext).

Plus you won’t have to opt-in to those expensive up sell dead tree bullet journals taking up shelf space.

I was going to go for a walk today. A big one to really tire me out, but its raining, and a lot of where I was going to walk will be muddy, so I walked into town for shopping and on the way home stopped in the pub for a drink and read.

Also did my first BuJo monthly migration. Looking good, and have definitely noticed a difference in my head about using BuJo. Now I just need to keep it up.

I've been thinking a lot today that I might go back to a Bullet Journal.

Now I'm an important boss man (🤣), I've been writing todos and notes on random post it notes and its getting a bit silly. Today, I had training and wrote the notes on a scrap piece of paper which will most likely get lost, where as I could put that all in a BuJo, right? Right!?

Convince me I don't need a BuJo, and suggest something else.

Or convince me I do and it will make my life easier.

My haul from the Archer & Olive stationery release this morning. The 8x8 is next year's bujo, the Books of Beauty B5 is next year's reading journal, and the traveler's notebook will be used imminently, because mine is almost full.

@eludom There are awesome paper based methods out there. For example #BulletJournal.

However, that's focused on todo and project management and not so much on #knowledgebase management.

The original #Zettelkasten method was on paper and for that purpose.

Digital methods scale much better and require less effort though IMO.

I set up my husband's #bulletjournal today. The real, actual Bullet Journal Method from Ryder Carroll. The man is so stressed out and has no planning system, so I told him, "The brain is meant for having ideas, not holding ideas."

I taught him how to do it, and he's going to give it a shot later tonight. He seems hopeful.

I can't make NASA not be stupid, I can't fix the government, I can't sell the house by myself, but I can do little things like this.
