Thank you, Apple, for writing such a hostile user interface.
They failed to mention that they cannot accept Umlauts, like "ü" in their passwords. For whatever idiotic reasons.
How nice it would be if they could, I don't know, tell me WHAT actual character they take offense with? So I don't have to play the guessing-game with them?

How I wish I could rip that NVIDIA chip out of my Mac! 😂😂😂😂
-
I wrote about it in 2021 already:
https://cdfinder.de/blog/files/apple_window_stew.html
"Apple has taken a perfectly balanced and working part of macOS, and screwed it up for no particular reason."
I still very much despise this idiotic idea every single day.
It makes it very hard to do basic things like, gasp, dragging windows.
I end up with modified PDF files daily, when inadvertently clicking in the "rotate page" button instead of dragging the window.Who with a sane mind comes up with such crap? #macOS #BugFest #UX
-
Great Scott!
And they still didn't properly fix the window resize bug in the #macOS 26.3 final release.
Timmy, what the heck are you doing?
-
What a gruesome UI garbage. Really.
A disgusting mess.
I pledge there will be no menu icons in the new #NeoFinder version!
I have already added code to remove that ugly crap in macOS 26.
-
macOS 26 on my development machine?
Over my dead body.
Never.
Maybe macOS 27 next year. Maybe. #BugFest
-
#resist !
My #NeoFinder application will never have such an ugly and boring squircle blob as the icon, on the contrary. Promise!
And it will keep its nice launch animation in the dock as well.
-
And we are not even talking how hard it is now to actually drag a window!
Little tiny spaces here and there, and if you miss them, you rotate your PDF or set the dog on fire.
Such an idiotic trash idea.
-
I am not installing that ugly train wreck on any of my devices. Ever. Yikes.

Thank you SO much for that wonderful research and explanations!
These weird icons are one of the really stupid and useless new "features" in the crazy buggy and hard-to-use #macOS 26 "Tahoe" release.
My upcoming NeoFinder 9.2 will remove all these stupid random shapes and blobs that macOS infused to its main menu.
I hope other developers will do that as well.
-
Ugly random color splotches, almost identical to the squircle hell icon of a dozen other apps.
Yikes. 🤮
-
A great summary, and not even complete of the catastrophic mess that is #Apple #BrokenGlass.
-
@agiletortoise YIKES! 🤮
Useless crap like that triggers migraines.
#Apple must add a health warning to iOS 26...
-
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
#macOS is much too lazy to even remember the positions of volume icons on the Desktop when it goes to sleep, much less window positions or sizes.
I am honestly working on a freeware tool that will remember and restore these, as #Apple is obviously totally unable to write a few lines of simple code...
Such a painful #BugFest
-
"macOS today is buggier than macOS 9 was without protected memory."
Yes, that is exactly the point, and Tim Cook doesn't even have a clue about that, and how massive the software problems at #Apple actually really are, and Cook has even less of an idea how to fix that.
-
Does anybody please have a ?-digit number for me?
Please?
Pretty please?
I am a bit confused.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh #AppleYet another sad #AppStore on #macOS #BugFest bug.
Who actually ever uses that stuff at Apple?
Anybody running, I don't know, TESTS or something exotic?
So painful to see.
-
They still don't show, gasp, the TIME a mail arrived, only the DATE. I mean, who needs to know WHEN that mail arrived?
And all the other glaring bugs are still there.
But now with fat and ugly blotches in the "tool region"
🤮🤮 #apple #bugfest #BrokenGlass #smear

Good heavens, this is getting absolutely out of hands.
I don't think there is a single Q&A engineer left working at Apple, it seems?
ROTFL
Quite frankly, I'd much rather pay more than 1,000 USD a year for decent developer tools, than getting this buggy crap for, well, "free"...

No, #Apple, this volume was NOT created back in 1970, but only a few minutes ago, yes, in 2024.
This very embarrassing #bug in #macOS when displaying information about an #ExFAT volume in the Finder has been reported by us SIX YEARS ago, and it is still glaringly present in macOS 15.2.
This type of negligence is very problematic for a digital asset manager software like my #NeoFinder, and we can see bugs like that in most parts of the Apple operating system these days.
Come on, don't you have a few dollars to spare for an engineer who can actually fix a few bugs, Tim? #BugFest
-
This is a huge improvement over the amazing, and incredibly helpful Notifications for that in #macOS 14.0!
-
#Apple once took great pride in having a truly great user interface and user experience for #macOS.
These days are really long over.
The user interface of #macOS14 "Sonoma" is even worse that the duds we had with #macOS13 or even #macOS11
