Chalmers is frequently the target of Christian anti-abortion protesters, and having attended the centre for other reasons, I can testify to just how intimidating it is to see these people as you arrive or leave
I really hope Scottish Green MSP Gillian Mackayโs bill to create 150-metre no-protest buffer zones around abortion clinics will be passed by the Scottish Parliament ๐ค
Though the Stanton clinic is probably about as close to the Chalmers Centre as they could reasonably get, itโs still about 450 metres or so, so is likely to be outside any buffer zone

These uninformed protests outside clinics must stop. These protesters have no idea of the circumstances surrounding the decision to abort & nor do they need to - because we know what's best for our own bodies.

Ugh, more #abortion protests outside Scottish clinics. If you don't want an abortion, then fine - don't have one - but don't tell me or anyone else what to do with our bodies. Nobody takes this decision lightly!

Tomorrow the Supreme Court are expected to make a ruling about buffer zones in Northern Ireland. This is what the Scottish government have been waiting on because we already know anti abortion groups are in the long grass waiting to sue. #bufferzones #northernireland
