Sometimes called #parakeets... i thought somehow parakeet was a word closer to the indigenous term for it.. but it seems to be the contrary:

Training with my parakeet has been going well!

Through patience and repetition, he has trained me to ring his bell when he taps it with his foot, and to fetch his ball which he repeatedly tosses onto the floor.

Looking forward to his teaching me more tricks!

Back from the vet, Oscar has PDD. He doesn't have much longer so I got him on hospice meds to keep him comfortable. I didn't think I'd be having to do this PDD song and dance again with another bird so soon (lost Wilson to PDD about 2 years ago). :(

So far Marvin has shown no symptoms and is his usually annoying gremlin self. Let's hope it stays that way.
