Gil Gerard, el actor más conocido por interpretar al héroe de ciencia ficción Buck Rogers, ha muerto. Tenía 82 años.
Su esposa, Janet, compartió la noticia en Facebook, diciendo que Gil falleció el martes por la mañana en cuidados de hospicio después de luchar contra una "forma rara y viciosamente agresiva de cáncer. "
Gerard se convirtió en un nombre familiar después de protagonizar a William "Buck" Rogers en la película de 1979 'Buck Rogers en el siglo 25', que pasó a convertirse en una serie de televisión que se extendió desde 1979 hasta 1981.
Gerard había pedido un mensaje póstumo para ser compartido con sus fans.

Thom Christopher, best know for his Emmy-winning role as mobster Carlo Hessler on "One Life To Live" has died at 84 after a lengthy illness. Christopher also starred on Season 2 of "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" as bird person Hawk.
