#Iwatched The Adventures of #BuckarooBanzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984) and I can't be the first to wonder: How did this ever get made? The convoluted scifi script has a nerdy fanfic quality. It contains everything a teen in the 1980s would consider cool, short of ninjas. What you won't find is a reason to care about this Gary Stu named Banzai or his band of eccentric but loyal characters. Much like #DarkStar it was soon eclipsed by a better movie with which it shares a lot: #BackToTheFuture
