I've just had a look at my Bubble Gumshoe series on IFDB, and this is the first time it's struck me how neatly the cover image for Who Whacked Jimmy Piñata? blends in with the others. It was supposed to follow the same basic format, but at a glance (and particularly at this small size) it's not immediately obvious that the latest cover image is an actual photograph while the others were assembled digitally from multiple images. #BubbleGumshoe #InteractiveFiction

I've been doing a lot more work on "Who Whacked Jimmy Piñata?" lately. It's now possible to confess your sins in the Church of the Immaculate Confection, and you may very well want to: it's hard to investigate a murder in Sugar City without getting one's hands a little dirty.

I'm gradually expanding the world of Sugar City. The Church of the Immaculate Confection was actually established in "Who Iced Mayor McFreeze?", but I'm not sure anybody ever encountered it. It would only be mentioned if you took long enough completing the game that it got into morning and the church bells started ringing in the distance (shortly before the abandoned taffy factory is scheduled for demolition). #ScreenshotSaturday #Inform7 #BubbleGumshoe #WhoWhackedJimmyPiñata

- Making my own rope.
- Learning to tie a hangman's noose.
- Hanging a piñata, but not in the way you'd expect.All my Bubble Gumshoe games have involved setting up a mini crime scene for the cover image, but this is by far the most ambitious yet.

One of the things I'm hoping to do with my latest Bubble Gumshoe mystery is to expand Sugar City and unite the environments from the previous games. Who Whacked Jimmy Piñata? will feature the crime scenes from both Who Shot Gum E. Bear? and Who Iced Mayor McFreeze? Also, as with those previous instalments, you'll be able to taste and smell way more of the setting than is probably sensible.

A friend who has never played dnd before was asking me about running an investigation one-shot in the modern day in 5E.
My suggestion was to try running something rules-light intended for modern day investigations to get them started.
I have the Bubblegumshoe RPG, so I think I'll lend them that.

hello les #rôlistes ! je compte lancer à l'occasion une table en ligne sur le #JDR #bubblegumshoe inspiré du drift "Diamond City" sans le côté anticipation... donc, ambiance gangs de rues, grosse ville, très réaliste et sombre. L'idée est de se donner un peu l'occasion de jouer avec les règles de combats physiques et leurs conséquences.

entre le taf et l'enchaînement des gros salons (11/11 avec RôlEvent, puis le Game'in Reims), le bouclage de #Bubblegumshoe n'est pas simple... se remettre dans ses pompes après 2 mois d'interruption sur la rédaction/relecture de deux scénarios n'est pas simple :(

@tiubuk @Birgul27 @Feydra je fais jouer assez souvent en ligne, surtout pour tester les scénarios des jeux de l’association. Si ça t’intéresse (et d’autres) je suis à la recherche de 4 joueur•euse•s pour beta-tester les 4 scénarios du premier supplément de #bubblegumshoe (voire plusieurs groupes pour comparer un peu les différences d’approches) autant avec des expérimenté•e•s que des débutant•e•s.

Concernant la partie en live, elle se déroulera le samedi 12 à 16h et je suis à la recherche de 2 joueuses ou joueurs pour compléter la table ! Alors, juste, c'est quoi #Bubblegumshoe, c'est un #JeuDeRole d'enquête où on joue des ado-détectives qui résolvent des mystères dans une ambiance assez réaliste.
