Time to rip this beauty and scan the booklet! This is the Bubblegum Crash Soldier Blue drama CD, and it appears to be a media sample. No wonder it's in such good condition.

I just got another package from Buyee. I've got everything on the cheap save for the Dirty Pair CD which cost more than the other four combined. I'm slowly doing accurate rips and scans of everything and I hope to be able to upload all this stuff to the Internet Archive by this summer.

Hmm, how anal do I want to be about tagging my music? 🤔

Discogs have the album artist for all of the Bubblegum Crisis albums as various artists. I did used to have them all as the main artist, 馬飼野康二, but have now gone with 'Various Artists', but I see on last.fm that people have the album artist as how I had it before. Also, as I've got all the song titles in Japanese to match how they're listed on the CDs, should I rename the albums to Japanese too, like for example, 'バブルガムクライシス 4: REVENGE ROAD' instead of 'Bubblegum Crisis 4: Revenge Road'? The sleeves appear to have the title in English, though, with the Japanese title only on the spine. I do have the first album with its title in Japanese, however.

Good timezone wafrn crew, what's your favorite anime and why?

Look at these beauties that have just arrived. I got all of them on Buyee for roughly 20€ each including handling fees, shipping and import taxes. The trick is buying several items over a period of less than 30 days and have them stuff everything into a single package. It saves a lot of money.

I'm trying to do some very high resolution scans of the Bubblegum Crisis OST covers and booklets, but it's hard because my scanner sucks and I have to stitch various bits together. This is the result scaled down from a 12k image. I need to find a way that takes less manual work.

I've been slowly collecting all the OST CDs from Bubblegum Crisis with the intent of doing accurate rips of each of them as well as high-quality scans of the covers and booklets.

I'm really fond of this show and part of the reason why I want to do this conservation work specifically is that the only way to listen to its soundtrack nowadays is via the "remastered" releases on streaming services which are absolute garbage. And I mean real dumpster fire. 🧵 1/3
