If you’ve been to beyond tellerrand before, you’ll know about the lovely Audio-Sketch-Notes that wonderful project where Tobi Lessnow sits on stage with his funky setup, records the speakers, and remixes his tracks live using speech samples from the talk that just happened. Tobi started this in 2013 for beyond tellerrand and it is part of it. A bit unusual, a bit unexpected and it adds to the overall energy that exists in the room.
The Tellerrandomizer is, in Sascha’s own words, the ”visual counterpart to that”.
During each talk, photos are taken and quotes are captured. Everything is then assembled in Kirby together with information about the speaker and the session. Afterwards, the result is shown as a presentation that is deliberately chaotic, visually loud, and full of personality.

  21. While I am on the road for #acs26 and doing post-event stuff for #btconf in parallel, I also started working on the videos. 🤪 Here is the first one with Kimya Gandhi and “The Act of Pressing a Key: The Journey of a Letterform on to Your Screen” youtu.be/jSBoXCsCyNI

  26. @btconf It’s really a challenge these days – especially with the community’s fragmentation… I’d say YouTube is where also the younger people are very active(ly watching). And they also use LinkedIn. Bluesky – is there a friends of #btconf starter pack? – and Mastodon for the (older? sorry!) more tech-savvy audience. And maybe something like Discord or reddit as well? But that would probably only work with a lot of engagement in various servers/channels… 🤔

  31. Nearly 60% of people who come to #btconf come by recommendation. That is wonderful! On the other hand I ask myself how and if I should get more visibility on any platform that addresses new attendees also. And which one these are?!

  36. While my social battery is still recharging from #btconf (it was amazing) I got inspired by watching the #2mr livestream to improve on my little Mastodon plugin for @getkirby. Version 2.0 is no longer just for showing replies but also boosts, favourites, and posting directly from the Panel:
