Look maybe we should just compromise and stay half way between summer time and winter time all the time?

The world has 30 minute timezones. It's not all whole-hours.

This is ridiculous.

Tonight we skip an hour, and there will only be 23 hours tomorrow.

The answer to the question "How many hours between 8pm and 4am" will always need the response "That depends, what country on what day in what year" but we could at least make it standard from now on at least.

To avoid total pet* carnage this weekend with the clock change, I've been moving the little furballs' meal time by 10 minutes a day for a few days.

I did, however, forget to tell the dear Fediverse until today. Soz.

Hopefully, they won't pester us awake an hour early on Sunday morning!

It will be 182 ½ days since the start of the year at solar midday, with the same time remaining until the end of the year.

Because the UK is currently on #BST (British Summer Time, GMT+01), the solar midday #halfway time in #Edinburgh will actually be when the #OneOClockGun fires at 13:00 BST.

(Yes, yes, the rotation and orbit of the earth and the existence of Leap Years make things slightly more complicated than this…)

I have been rushing to get the #sheep cleaned out before sunset, only to find that sunset is 2 hours later than I expected.
I’m a grown man and I still haven’t got my head round #bst clock changes.

In a shocking display of eptitude, I managed to change the clock on the microwave without recourse to the instruction manual. 😱 #BST

I've just checked and the trilithons and lintels at #Stonehenge have been successfully set to British Summer Time (UTC+1).

I really do wonder if this is a tradition we could now abandon. Such a time consuming exercise twice every year to change them 🫤

Perhaps we should abandon BST and just stick to GMT (UTC+0) and honor our four fathers and five mothers some other way? 🤔🤷‍♂️
