The DVD Player controller in Mac OS X Tiger was so damn cute! I loved the little side drawer.

I just posted a sample project to GitHub which has the code I wrote for the Brushed Metal background in QuickTune.
It seems performant but I am probably not the best in determining if it is at its most performant. Seems good though.
This is done in Core Animation layers & good for both 1x and 2x displays.
I hope to see more Brushed Metal interfaces soon 😉

and now, it's 10.1 time! DP4 didn't boot but also wasn't that interesting, and I jumped straight into 10.1 because it's almost the exact same OS, but more polished - and not 10.2-10.4 because those get increasingly more plagued by #brushedMetal
