#brumbies — Public Fediverse posts

Live and recent posts from across the Fediverse tagged #brumbies, aggregated by home.social.

  1. The brave #Brumbies fans enduring a cold #Canberra night are definitely getting their money's worth with an entertaining game. I'm not feeling bad about the decision to watch from home! #rugby #SuperRugbyPacific

  3. Likelihood that Brumbies at Eden Park in the wet against the Blues will result in the Canberra team getting utterly monstered is probably > 50%. Fingers crossed for something more interesting than that.

  4. Right, let's do another 2 hours of self-punishment and see how badly the #Brumbies will get flogged by the #Highlanders.

  5. Arguing with horse people on the internet today about culling brumbies in the Koszi National Park (everyone's got to have a hobby), and a recurring argument is that people do more damage and so the horses should be left alone. The cognitive dissonance required to not be able to see that feral animals are part of the damage people do?! Anyway, changing hearts and minds one instagram comment section at a time...

  6. The #Brumbies vs #Hurricanes quarter final in the #SuperRugbyPacific was epic. The whole game was played at test match quality and very even throughout. Great play by both teams stacked with national players. Excellent refereeing by Nic Berry. Brumbies through to the semifinal in Hamilton next week against #Chiefs. That will be a difficult game to win.

  7. #Rugby #SuperRugby #SuperRugbyPacific

On #Eurovision day we're in a real Ding-Dong in Canberra with the #Brumbies a point down (32-31) with just under a quarter of the game to play against the #Highlanders.

  8. #Brumbies squad looks like they've travelled assuming they will lose (and maybe big) against #Crusaders. Resting some key people.

  9. Partying like it's 2006 on Twitter, here's my #introduction post:

Terminally online ex-pat #Tasmanian with a head removal scar to prove it. I've lived and travelled in a bunch of places.

I live with my partner and BIL (a person with disabilities)in the bush in Djiringanj Yuin country and run a B&B in the mountains of the Bega Valley (rocklily.com.au/) in a place called Brogo (NSW, Australia). We're 25km from the nearest town (Bega) living on 100 acres of primarily remnant endangered forest (environment.nsw.gov.au/threate).

I also work on a large #dairy #farm (1800 acres/728ha) where we run between 800 and 1000 cattle supplying to the Bega Group.

I've spent the past 20 years as a service designer (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Service_) with expertise in #government and the #publicsector, #userexperience, #servicedesign, #orgdesign, #opengovernment, communications, #innovation, designful #leadership, and organisational #culture. I'm mostly retired (but hire me, I'm good) from client work.

    You'll see posts from me about #bushlife, our journey to #offgrid, #conservation, #biodiversity, #homesteading, and ethical feral species #hunting, the #outdoors, #sustainability, #righttorepair,
    #diy and #handyperson things.

I'm into #archery, being a husband, dad, and carer, #gaming (console #PS5, #RPG, #ttrpg, #boardgames), and #progressive politics, particularly #auspol. I'm a fan of many sports, with a competitive background in #gymnastics (coaching), traditional #taekwondo (practitioner and instructor), and #powerlifting (elite masters competitor). I support the #Brumbies in Super Rugby, #Vikings in the NFL, and #FCStPauli in football.
