Angel’s Trumpet (Brugmansia) flowers. LA Arboretum, Arcadia, California, USA. October, 2024. #laarboretum #angelstrumpet #brugmansia #bloomscrolling #flower #flowerphotography #nature #naturephotography #photography #amateurphotography #fujifilm #x100vi

Our #Brugmansia developed slowly this summer - it didn't grow flower buds before October and, as the weather grew colder, none of the buds opened, before the plant shed its leaves. Wedndays evening, just before the first frost I took the plant inside for overwintering. The branches with the flower buds went into a flower vase in my study - I didn't expect much but this morning the sweet smell of the flowers filled the room. #bloomscrolling #winter

In the Neighbor’s Garden at Night

Visiting friends who live just up the street and their garden at night was magical.

Ik ga duimen dat de temperatuur nog even boven 5 graden blijft, ook 's nachts. Zouden deze knoppen van mijn Brugmansia nog in bloei komen?

The Angel's Trumpet or Brugmansia is a tropical, exotic shrub that I put outside in the spring and bring inside in the winter. The large, pendulous shaped flowers are most fragrant in the evening when they attract the pollinating moths. When the shrub is in full bloom the display is outstanding.

#Brugmansia 'Madame de Pompadour' (Marek Perniš, Slovakia, 2013). The flower grows the other way up, pendant. The flower-in-flower form is called "hose-in-hose" from the old use of "hose" to mean socks or stockings (think "pantyhose").

Haunted tree in full 👻-mode. (This - and the lovely smell at night - is the reason I put up with its endless dramatic wilting) #Brugmansia

This fucking tree is so dramatic. I watered it at 10:00 and 13:00 today already, but nooooo, that’s not enough, and now it’s sulking and wilting again because there’s been a tiny bit of summer today. I have never grown a plant so damned needy, and I have Calatheas and whiskferns ffs #Brugmansia

The yellow Angel's Trumpet or #Brugmansia is a tropical, exotic fragrant shrub. The large, pendulous shaped #flowers are most fragrant in the evening when they attract the pollinating moths. The yellow swirling skirt tipped up is not so ladylike, more of a #femmefatale as the whole plant is toxic!

My Versicolor peach #Brugmansia plant in my backyard this #summer, along with musa, canna, & elephant ears. My yard is a jungle.

first flower on this #brugmansia from cutting! 😍

The yellow Angel's Trumpet or #Brugmansia is a #tropical exotic shrub that I put outside in the spring and bring inside in the winter. The buds are intriguing with their long points and the large, pendulous shaped flowers are most fragrant in the evening when they attract the pollinating moths.

I wanted a tropical garden. In Jan 2019, My husband built the frame for me. The second photo is Jan 2021. The hanging flower is a Brugmansia. I now have an irrigation system cos I got sick of holding a hose 😬 Its pretty weed free, which is good, because I’m I’m not going in there as I’m terrified of big spiders. And In Qld everything wants to kill you 😂🐍🕷️ #subtropicalqld #southeastqld #subtropicalgardening #gardening #brugmansia #flowers
