  5. One more day out and I will finish the Bruce Trail end-to-end for a third time. Today on the Bruce Peninsula, Georgian Bay was at its best. This week, I bumped into Margaret on trail, who was working on her 20th E2E. Legend!

  6. The first Trout Lily spotted this spring. Spring ephemerals are the opening act in the forest, lifting the spirits of hikers and pollinators. Also out are Colts Foot, Bloodroot, Snowdrops, Hepatica, and Trilliums are in bud.

  7. Put away the skis, and got in first hike of the season. Over half of the #BruceTrail is closed due to #IceStorm damage and debris clean up. Got in 22 KM yesterday before the Sydenham section was “closed”.

  12. There's a spot out on the Bruce Peninsula that not many folks know about. I stumbled upon it accidentally over a decade ago and have occasionally contributed to it. If you go into those woods today, you're in for a big surprise. Here's what @Knightky and I found this morning. 1/11 #TeddyBear #Plushies #HauntedForest #creepy #CreepyToy #CursedItem #BruceTrail #hiking #forest

  15. Granddaughter and her Dad climbing up a steep section of the Bruce Trail yesterday. We're lucky that the trail is only a 30-minute hike from our house, connected by smaller paths just across the road.

  16. We are headed home now. So grateful I was able to hike to the lookout on such a beautiful day and have our lunch in peace. This little bird hung out with us. When we headed back, we met the crowds. We went at the best possible time, when we had the trail mostly to ourselves. #hiking #BruceTrail #BrucePeninsula #cliffs #GeorgianBay
