J'ai terminé la saison 2 de #BatmanCapedCrusader...
J'étais très emballé par l'idée d'une nouvelle série animée #Batman par #BruceTimm, avec un côté ouvertement années 30. Sur le papier, la série avait vraiment tout pour me plaire.
Malheureusement, le constat est assez mitigé.
- La série reste trop similaire à la série animée de 1992, en moins bien.
- C'est les années 30, mais pas trop quand même (ex: tout le monde a la télé...). Le postulat n'est pas complètement assumé.1/x

Finished up Caped Crusader, really dug it, and then just for kicks, threw in the Animated Series DVD and watched that first episode 'On Leather Wings' to compare. Ah, Man-Bat. See, I forgot that one was the first episode of Animated Series. One of my favorite episodes of the show, and one of my favorite antagonists overall. Great juxtaposition too, to start, Man-Bat vs. Batman. And in 4:3! Such a similar feel. I still prefer Animated Series obviously (and man, I miss Kevin Conroy) but Caped Crusader was rad. Just another take from Bruce Timm - and with J.J. Abrams.

The Jemms by #GeneColon and Daldoda by #DennisFujitake are all fun reads for the money, as are the rest of these books. I speculated a bit on the Cosmic Heroes because I think the #BruceTimm covers may bring a few bucks sometime in the future.
