Hmm, that looks very much like a polar vortex this weekend. Wonder if Texas will get another freeze event, and if their preparations from the last one will work.

Heh, my VPN has convinced Google I live in Europe. I wish! Waking up to -30°C, today in the Great White North.

So Google is changing the country it associates me with.... I'll have to fix that but their form only lets you change it back once the change has happened (in 30 days). Problem for future Brad.

A warm Mediterranean villa sounds pretty good right now. Maybe technology knows something I don’t… time to check flights, right?

Kurzer Blick in den Kleinen Odenwald

Ich bin gerade im Kleinen Odenwald bei meiner Mutter und habe mich vorhin kurz über den Hügel hinterm Haus geschoben und dabei auch ein paar Bilder gemacht. Es ist kalt, es ist feucht, es ist brrrr.

@hdvalentin Das ist von der Luftlinie her knapp 15 Kilometer von Heidelberg weg. OK dafür aber auch auf ca. 400 Meter Höhe. 😀 Vielleicht sieht man sich ja Morgen bei @sweethome 😀

Anz eingedeutscht ist es noch nicht, aber es passt. Doch 5,1°C, 88% relative Luftfeuchtigkeit und eine sanfte Brise machen nicht wirklich Spaß.

Good morning tooters - back to freezing our little tooshies for a week. Barely above zero outside & a very good frost here. Going to be a cool but fairly sunny day. Hopefully I can get my washing from yesterday fully dry in the sunshine 🤞🏼.
Typical Sunday for me, an exercise class & then my regular Sunday visit to my sister. Hoping to catch up with some friends this afternoon, but that’s not a given.

Up at silly o’clock this morning for kids football.

Walking to the ground, we see some kind of ash, oak or maple variant (I know they’re everywhere in this suburb with their reds, oranges, yellows and greens!).

This one’s branches are covered with a bright green #moss, which appears to be a permanent feature in this little Gully reserve, adjoining a waterway not far away.

Its #autumn leaves 🍁 🍂 are gorgeous.

All I can say, on this wet, soggy morning is… thank goodness the early sun is out!! 🌞
