Und wenn jemand im Rahmen dieser Thematik mit durchaus nachvollziehbaren Warnungen bzgl Netzstabilität und "Blackout" daher kommt, gibt es auch gute Antworten.Mir war z.B. der Begriff #Brownout nicht bekannt: das gezielte Abschalten dafür extra vorgesehener Großverbraucher im Netz.

Has anyone managed to get a #RaspberryPizero or #raspberrypizero2 running autonomously from solar power in Northern Europe? For example as a 24/7 data logger. Just curious what sort of challenges one would have there and what sort of re-start behaviour you get if the device loses power due to low light periods. #brownout #solarpower. Cheers.

I will try #reticulum #rnode with #RasperryPiZero #RaspberryPiPico , or similar, setup to see if those reboot on #brownout , in which case that alone would be a reason to swap for making a #solarnode -

I am testing an open-source circuit design (https://meshtastic.discourse.group/t/rak-4631-solar-repeater/7694/83) for solar charging a RAK node, the aim of the circuit being to make the node re-start automatically if the battery is re-charged by the sun after having been flat (#brownout). Build details here https://meshtastic.discourse.group/t/rak-4631-solar-repeater/7694/86 with test results not in yet.... takes time to drain the battery and see if it re-starts. For now, it is just nice and compact. #meshtastic #solarnode #pcb #rak

With this kit the RAK node starts automatically after batteries empty. No manual intervention required. Solves the problem about what happens if a node is not accessible for a manual reset action after #brownout
