One is that #BronxRiver dams will be evaluated for sustainability of #fishPassageway. Also some org has taken sediment cores. The dual dam in #BronxZoo may come down anyway. Pinch points may cause Bronx River to flood.

@tomflood @betterstreetsnsw Makes me think of biking along the #BronxRiver.. Bridges have been washed out probably for 10 years, but there are no warning signs. You just bike until you can't go any turther and then you turn around. Oh. and like trying to bike up the east side of Manhattan.

I want all the dams (all obsolete) on the #BronxRiver taken down.

Looking for motivation to get MetroNorth and various DOTs to pay and advocate dam removal, sediment testing, before and after monitoring, etc.

I got in a "pre-Printemps" ride in, today, with my friend J. from down the block. It was an easy no-pressure ride to the #BronxRiver #bikepath, and then north on the bike path to the #KensicoDam and back. I did not activate Strava, but the Fitbit did recognize two #bike rides.

Both of us are in about the same level of "out of condition" after a winter layoff, but there were only a few spots where granny gear was not low enough for a dismount and walk.
