This is an unpopular view.

The Ai-Doomer moniker is actually a #broligarch PR.

You do not need to regulate a useless toy.

There are various definitions of what #AGI is.

HLE (Humanities last exam) is a test for Ai frontier models to stress the model. Basically only give it tasks that only real human expert in a narrow field can answer. No googling, no reasoning without a-priori knowledge.

Models already exhibit some Zero-shot knowledge.

The engines are clawing their way up HLE and while I concede, there are some real limits to the #LLM tech, there are innovative approaches like Energy Based Models (Kona) that may push over the limits.

We may not get a Metatron like entity as #Agi

But we are pretty close to what Dario calls "A country of geniuses"

Or what I call "An army of geniuses"

An army of geniuses, solving problems at x150,000 speed of humans at HLE 100% is AGI
It doesn't need consciousness.

Ai are weapons if mass destruction and ought to be regulated as such

Let's dispense with the obvious first, the author is anonymous and his previous work deals with water and land rights as investment vehicle.

I don't think he is a quant, but a holder of short positions in NVIDIA and other #hyperscaler exposed assets. Hammer looking for nails.

The reason I say this is because his analysis is fundamentally flawed. Only five data points, two of which are inferred. At second derivative the noise of this poor data set gets amplified quadratically.
His thesis will nevertheless hold for a while.
So he can be "right" until he isn't.
As Keynes said "Markets can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent"

Where any forest folk prayer for AI collapse falls apart is this; the promise of AI is replacement of all intellectual labour forever. In addition to which, the #broligarch "Networked state" AND Authoritarian statists all rely on AI as a control substrate.

The use of "markets" to measure AI is a fiction.
You're measuring with a ruler that flexes.
When #capitalism failed in 2008, it was bailed out by 13 trillion dollars globally of socialism (people's money) in the "too big to fail" fiasco.

Individual investors may get wiped out (and your pension fund), but AI is not going away.
AI is the internet, the railway and the carrier battle group.

It's a technique borrowed from manipulation of western democracies. You allow fiery disagreement in a very narrow aspect, while disregarding the underlying structures, drivers.

Where as they ought to be actively political about #airegulation
Taxation, Knowledge manipulation/censorship, ownership, private vs sovereign models, job loss, guardrails.

The #datacentre will get built anyway.

2. Finally, I just slapped deepseek r1 7 Billion parameters on it...
Im getting about a token a minute (!!!) responses. But, nary a #broligarch in sight... Not surprisingly, still have about 30-40% CPU utilisation left. But it eats all the memory and swap in sight. You really need about 20+GB Ram... VRAM ideally...

3. In the end... I got it going after a fashion with Qwen 2.5 Coder Model... Slow as a summer drunken fuck... but it works.
