This is an unpopular view.

The Ai-Doomer moniker is actually a #broligarch PR.

You do not need to regulate a useless toy.

There are various definitions of what #AGI is.

HLE (Humanities last exam) is a test for Ai frontier models to stress the model. Basically only give it tasks that only real human expert in a narrow field can answer. No googling, no reasoning without a-priori knowledge.

Models already exhibit some Zero-shot knowledge.

The engines are clawing their way up HLE and while I concede, there are some real limits to the #LLM tech, there are innovative approaches like Energy Based Models (Kona) that may push over the limits.

We may not get a Metatron like entity as #Agi

But we are pretty close to what Dario calls "A country of geniuses"

Or what I call "An army of geniuses"

An army of geniuses, solving problems at x150,000 speed of humans at HLE 100% is AGI
It doesn't need consciousness.

Ai are weapons if mass destruction and ought to be regulated as such

Some "good" headlines of recent days: #Anthropic the paragon of virtue! The world a better place if we buy useless crap from European #corporations, not U.S. ones! #Solar makes us independent of oil and #geopolitics!

Last time I checked, though, #Amodei is still an utterly deluded #broligarch, European corporations are just as greedy as U.S. ones, and #solar_panels come from China.

We need real change. Not feel-good straws to grasp at while we continue our fall...
