That sounds dire ... Who does one lease #billboards from in the US? Surely not mainstream or legacy media? (I'm thinking of that film 'Three billboards' in which billboards were the broadcast media of choice...)
Another thought: sky pilots. They can cover a lot of territory & surely no one vets what they're going to write? Or do they?
(I'm an Australian so please excuse my ignorant questions.)

GStreamer 1.24 will include a plugin for AJA capture / playback cards
I developed a GStreamer plugin for AJA SDI / HDMI capture / playback cards over the last few years in separate repository on GitHub but now that it has proven to work reliably for multiple people and the underlying NTV2 SDK is actually open source, nothing was preventing it from getting merged into GStreamer proper anymore.
So starting with the 1.24 GStreamer release there will be an AJA plugin included. If you're building GStreamer via meson this even comes with a subproject for the NTV2 SDK so you only need to make sure that a driver for your card is loaded.
If you want to test it, now is the best time to make sure there are no unexpected bugs left for your use-case before the release!
