One of the best parts of Sunday's expedition out to the Mad Dogs & Englishmen car show was the early morning convoy from Metro Detroit, a couple hours of spirited driving on the back roads of southern Michigan.

I ended up behind a friend's Lotus Evora 400, which was a great view as it sped away from my MGB.

The FUN MG on the field Sunday at the annual Mad Dogs & Englishmen car show at the Gilmore Car Museum. After a couple of years of mechanical woes, it made me happy that it could make the 125-mile drive out to Michigan's biggest British car event.

I'm sorting through the pictures from yesterday's fall color drive with the local MG and Jaguar clubs. They're mostly a mess because I had my autofocus on a setting that delivered a bunch of pictures with the focus on my Jaguar's hood, not the cars in front of me. But this was cool.
