  1. Brit and in Europe this summer? Leave an extra hour for #passport control. This was #Ljubljana today, a full 50 minute scrum.

    #UK #brexitBenefit

  2. <<The reality is that there is virtually nowhere in #Europe where any serious political group promotes the idea of following Britain out of the bloc, especially after witnessing the economic disaster, political instability and enduring and bitter divisions across the UK>> A #BrexitBenefit?

@RabBrucesSpider1 I think the people living in Clackmannan and Fife will shed no tears for the closure of Grangemouth. They are downwind of the refinery and have had to put up with overnight pollution for decades.

And I have no doubt that the move from Grangemouth is another #brexitbenefit

Nevertheless, it is very evocative that London are happy to give Ionos money to move somewhere else instead of giving them money to stay here .

  4. @JustFi

I looked for turnips in Tesco yesterday. Still none. Apparently the one farm that was growing them stopped when they couldn't get anyone to pick them up.

    Another #BrexitBenefit ...

  5. There are hardly any pay point shops which offer the international driving licence. The only one in Edinburgh is in Leith and in rural areas hardly any.
Why can we not use the post office?

And before anybody suggests it, no it can’t be done on the Internet .

Paper form, paper photograph, paper licence and only one shop in the whole of Edinburgh able to do it.
    Progress !!

  6. UK cheeses miss out on international prize after getting stuck in customs

At the World Cheese Awards in Portugal, #British entries were conspicuous by their absence after failing to clear post-Brexit import controls

  7. If the #Tories lose tomorrow and they get a massive kicking from the electorate does that mean we have finally found a #BrexitBenefit that we can all get behind!!??

  8. 80-mile trip for #prescriptions: stress caused by the New Normal of drug shortages in UK

    #BrexitBenefit

Patients describe effect on their health & wellbeing of the new normal of drug shortages in UK, leading to 3+ month delays & 80-mile round trips to acquire #medication

Others struggle to get antidepressants & ADHD medication. The delays cause fears I would experience medication #shortages for something more serious in the future

  9. Garden centres in UK stockpile plants before new #Brexit checks

    Yet another #BrexitBenefit

#UK government will introduce physical checks for many plant and animal products coming into Britain from the EU on 30 April as part of its new border target operating model

However, plant sellers & growers have consistently raised concerns that checks could cause delays & lead to some #plants being destroyed or damaged

  10. Applying for a GHIC to replace my out of date EHIC, and it smells of all the bullshit you'd associate with #Brexit. The "G" stands for "Global" so it's clearly a #BrexitBenefit. Except it turns out it is accepted any place globally, so long as that place is the EU (or Switzerland). So not better at all.

  11. Just been informed by my Building Society that the Direct Debit Guarantee changes on 20 Nov, reducing the notice period for 'any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit' from 10 working days to 5 working days.

Yet another small shift in the balance of power between consumers and businesses.

Was there consultation or debate? If so I missed it. Is it meant to be a #BrexitBenefit? I doubt it benefits many who voted to Leave.

To do away with them when our public services are in the toilet after 13 years of austerity that was brought on because banker's got greedy is downright offensive.

The poorest in our society have never recovered from the game of chicken those assholes played 15 years ago, and now, after promising them some utopian dream if they voted Leave, you've turned the tables and are actively rewarding the crooks that got us into this mess.
