If you are in #santacruz today, Private Press Brewing is having an anniversary party at the Swift Street courtyards. It is also a used vinyl LP utopia. There are at least a half dozen vendors of used LPs here; Streetlight Records, Offshore Records, etc. there is music playing and winery tasting rooms are open as well as Private Press’s tasting room. There’s a good taco truck and an izakaya (?) booth. #brewpub #physicalmedia #wine

We're deep into the country in Massachusetts (Whitinsville) at a small brew pub. Their food options are minimal so we ordered the "charcuterie boat" because drinking without eating is stupid. Just sat down to a very good craft beer from a very small village close to Liepaja named Bārta. The beer is predictably called Bārtas alus (beer from Bārta).
This is a small artisanal brewery that quote "brewed from local malt, real fire brewing, unfiltered & unpasteurised"
The malt is not too strong, in fact a very balanced beer with a pleasant finish.

Missed out on the Spaniah & Latino menu from #JanifasKitchen last night, don't worry they're in the kitchen today too. We recommend the Rosa de Patatas Bravas (see here with padron peppers) served in smoke bravas sauce and saffron aioli. Enjoy the sun and tuck in to a couple of dishes!

Dinner on Saturday was at SAAL Brewing Company in Stanwood. It's located in the original firehouse that still has the slide pole (blocked off for obvious reasons). I went light with a grilled cheese and tomato soup, a classic. Wife went with the SAAL burger with fries. We washed the meal down with a couple glasses of Golden Butterfly Blonde Ale.

Morning Mastodonians!
Well, if it is going to rain all day like it did yesterday, there are worse ways to spend it than brewpub hopping. We made it to 3 of the 4 planned. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have started with the best, as it is a pretty tough act to follow after Treehouse. They are famous for their amazing IPAs but they do everything well. Our friends raved about the Rover (dunkel) and the Idle Mind (lager). How they can be so good at making so many is a mystery. #beer #brewpub
