My only regret from attending last weekend’s Dead & Co. shows was that I missed my opportunity to buy this t-shirt. I’m still kicking myself.

Haha, Brent Mydland mit gebügeltem Hemd. Immer wieder gut.
Übermorgen ist übrigens der Todestag von Jerry Garcia.
Besorgt schon mal Kerzen. -
Have a little Brent Mydland for your morning.

Thinking about #BrentMydland 33 years after his death. "Don't Need Love" caught something about him - synthy, 80's soft-rock in the sound, bitter despair in the lyrics. Maybe he and Vince had more in common than we realized.

@tor_haxson I feel like I'm constantly getting surprised by Brent performances on SiriusXM & usually it is not for his own songs, but just being a team player. Sometimes his B3 just perfectly coming in & helping build to a crescendo, some vocal harmony part, or an improvised vocal trade off at the end of a Bobby tune. I feel like I need to start taking notes on these.
One I heard this week is 12/27/1989 second set, Brent is just locked in and makes every song in the set shine!

Grateful Dead sound technician Bob Bralove did an 'ask me anything' last night on reddit and answered my question about Jerry Garcia's guitar synth rig. You can read the Q&A here...
The whole thread is worth reading if you are interested in this aspect of the Dead. Lots of great questions asked.
