@mrman I do think it's a pretty good idea though. I mean, if you have your "landing page/FE" be a self assembled "WikiPedia" searchable by topic, it self assembles your views on that topic as a "narrative" at that level. Your, "Profile" if you will... ?

Then, rather than "firehose timeline" more like "my INBOX" for social media, your mentions, your likes, those are people interacting with you, do prioritize at least having a look at what people who are interacting with you are saying... It's .. Like Emily Post level shit, be a decent human being, #BreakTheTimeline #WWEPD What Would Emily Post Do?

Then, "hack the search engine" interface, where you dig up the people and topics you want to talk about, and interact, not just see shit forced from the timeline, #BreakTheTimeline is literally the hashtag to develop this interface in the meta, I want to see what anyone posts with that hashtag, because, it's RIGHT.

@mrman However, to say it again publically, because I've talked about it to many people on fedi over a fairly long time, here's a more recent public summary of the idea.

A custom FE would be like a Fedi "fan page" for your Fediverse Personality. You run your own node, and you have "people sign up on it" that like you, your friends, until they want to run thier own, or join a big one like NoAgenda, Kiwi, Shitposter, Spinster, I honestly don't give a fuck, I wish people would join 80percent.social to chat ON TOPIC and build a lot of archived gun knoledge searchable on the node, that's what I'm hoping.. Sign up with burner email, drop some knowledge, let us learn..

Anyway... I see a "Wiki" like searchable organized by "hashtag search" auto-formed hiarchy of posts, by using the meta data in #logichashtag search to find your stronest point in your point of view, as cornerstone for your branching framework, notes, and coolest comment that was funny I said one time on that topic highlighted as "yea, this was funny, but prove it wrong" sort of way?

Like your "profile" sort of self assembles based on hashtag logic in the metadata... ? But, dude, that's a lot of code... I barely shell script and hack RC files reliably, I'd love to do ALL of it from within NeoVIM BTW, with some way to render images if I want, without terminal losing the majority of my graphics priority, like "render image" popup in neovim? Anyway... Yea, all of this could be info flow just "working" for people, and not being "drink from the fire hose of the timeline..."
