"Moon River" is a song composed by #HenryMancini with lyrics by #JohnnyMercer. It was originally performed by #AudreyHepburn in the 1961 film #BreakfastAtTiffanys, winning an #AcademyAwardForBestOriginalSong. The song also won the 1962 #GrammyAwards for #RecordOfTheYear and #SongOfTheYear. In 1999, Mancini's recording was inducted into the #GrammyHallOfFame. The song has been recorded by many other artists. It became the theme song for #AndyWilliams.

You HAVE to make time to watch #BreakfastAtTiffanys, which despite the racist portrayal of #MickeyRooney in #YellowFace as Heartburn's (Holly GoLightly's) upstairs neighbor, is one of my fave movies of all time.
It's ranked 61st in one the AFI's list of 100 best movies ever made & the AFI later ranked the movie's theme song -- #MoonRiver at 4th of 109 mobies for the best song.
