¿Sabían que el líder de una de las bandas norteñas más famosas de México tiene un gemelo perdido animado de los años 80 en el espacio exterior?
Resulta que mientras veo la película de BraveStarr me di cuenta de que el sheriff galáctico y el cantante Lupe Esparza de la agrupación Bronco se parecen muchísimo. Si comparamos al vaquero animado con su característico sombrero y sus facciones fuertes, con los looks clásicos que el músico mexicano usaba en los escenarios, el parecido físico es tan grande que parece un homenaje planeado.

Aunque la caricatura estadounidense fue creada por la compañía Filmation y se estrenó específicamente en el año 1987, la coincidencia visual con la estrella de la música regional mexicana es real y súper divertida. 🤠🚀

¡Hoy toca noche de cine súper retro! 🍿 Les cuento que me topé con "BraveStarr: La Leyenda", esa película animada de la caricatura viejísima de los años 80. Literalmente se estrenó en el año 1988 y yo apenas la voy a ver para descubrir qué onda 😆
A ver qué tal está este viaje en el tiempo con vaqueros espaciales y misticismo nativo americano. Promete acción de la vieja escuela, así que ya tengo mis palomitas listas para ver si sobrevive al paso de los años o si era mejor dejarla en el baúl de los recuerdos. ¿Alguien por aquí llegó a ver la serie original en su infancia?

Sketching out Thirty Thirty, a cyborg horse from the late 1980's cartoon show "Bravestarr" who can transform between full horse and anthro horse. Gonna come back to this another time, as the robotic arms and legs are giving me trouble. Trying not to overdesign them and have them feel more like the original, but a little more believable. Just kinda ran out of steam before I could refine the design, but I think I have the basics down.
