„Brat” zachwyca na festiwalu w Gdyni. Nagroda za debiut dla Filipa Wiłkomirskiego
Najnowszy film Macieja Sobieszczańskiego, „Brat”, okazał się jednym z najgłośniejszych i najbardziej poruszających tytułów 50. Festiwalu Polskich Filmów Fabularnych w Gdyni.
Produkcja zdobyła serca widzów i uznanie jury, które przyznało nagrodę za najlepszy profesjonalny debiut aktorski Filipowi Wiłkomirskiemu.
Magnetyczny debiut i poruszająca historia
Filip Wiłkomirski został doceniony za „magnetyczną obecność, która nie pozwala widzowi na oderwanie wzroku od ekranu”. Wciela się on w postać 14-letniego Dawida, który w trudnych warunkach musi przedwcześnie wejść w rolę dorosłego.
Razem z ekranową matką, graną przez Agnieszkę Grochowską, oraz młodszym bratem (Tytus Szymczuk), tworzą rodzinę próbującą uciec przed dziedzictwem przemocy.
Film opowiada o walce o marzenia i próbach ocalenia rodziny w świecie, który nie daje o sobie zapomnieć. Jak przyznaje reżyser, Maciej Sobieszczański, choć historia jest fikcyjna, zawiera wiele osobistych doświadczeń twórców.
Autentyczność na pierwszym planie
Szczególne emocje wzbudziły kreacje młodych aktorów, Filipa Wiłkomirskiego i Tytusa Szymczuka, dla których jest to debiut na dużym ekranie. Mimo że poznali się dopiero na planie, chemia między nimi okazała się niezwykle autentyczna. Sam Wiłkomirski przyznaje, że wejście w rolę ułatwiły mu wspólne doświadczenia, takie jak treningi judo.
Agnieszka Grochowska, grająca matkę chłopców, podkreśla ich naturalność: „Chociaż Tytus i Dawid znali scenariusz, tak głęboko wchodzili w swoje postaci, że naprawdę przeżywali każdą scenę. Byli autentycznie przejęci, zaskoczeni i wzruszeni”.
Po pokazach w Gdyni film zebrał entuzjastyczne recenzje. Krytycy chwalili go za autentyczność, emocjonalny ładunek oraz wybitne role, zarówno doświadczonych aktorów, jak i debiutantów. „Brat” trafi do kin w całej Polsce 5 grudnia. Poniżej zwiastun tej produkcji:
