  1. @carstenfranke Well, I am 100% convinced that one of the parents is #Brandywine. Now, who is the yellow one?

  2. @carstenfranke So, having grown up around tomatoes, I'm thinking they are #Brandywine heirloom tomato crossed with one of the yellow-fruited heirlooms. From the article: "There are a number of other yellow-fruited heritage cherry tomato varieties to choose from – ‘Galina’, ‘Gold Nugget’ and ‘Golden Sunruse’ are a few alternatives to consider." Bookmarking the article for future #GardeningExperiments! TY!

  3. Saradoc agreed to spread the word and I headed to Stock on the Great East Road to tell Gunderic Grubb - he runs the Golden Perch in the Marish - just in time for lunch it were so I had a bite to eat and a nip of Brandy Wine on the Brandywine, just a nip mind you.

They say it's as deep as the river and as likely to drag you under... I couldn't stop long if was to make Michel Delving afore gloaming.

This was a handheld 1/4s exposure with a 28mm Nikon lens attached to the Fringer NFtoGF adapter to my GFX100s-II. I had my tripod with me but didnt bother pulling it out because I wanted to see what I could get with just free hand. I currently only have the 80mm lens for the GFX, the next one I get for it will definitely be closer to 35mm. I used the 20-35 for the wedding i recently shot and it was pretty great. planning to rent the gfx 50 or 35 primes.

  8. It's ugly, but it is the first #tomato of the season to ripen. Some variant of #Brandywine. Had to pick it early and ripen inside due to squirrels. #gardening

I think my grandparents used to keep a bottle of #Boerenjongens (literally: farm boys), which basically was #raisins in #brandywine. My favourite #DutchFood blog, #TheDutchTable, has a nice recipe for it, as well as #Boerenmeisjes (lit. 'farm girls'), which uses dried #apricots in #brandy instead: thedutchtable.com/2013/06/boer
Personally I'd say 'fuck the archaic genderisation' and mix them both and call 'em #FarmFolx ;)
