When you think of Phil Collins, what do you think of? Genesis? His solo work?

You probably don't think of #BrandX, a jazz fusion band he was in. He was on most of the band's earlier records. This is from 1977, and it’s fantastic. I think I still like their first - Unorthodox Behaviour - better, but the Middle Eastern twinge to this one is chefs kiss

@Shaltiar there's one with Phil Collins's kid that's a riot. I love that the #BrandX drummer's kid is terrified of #Jazz!

So, I’m archiving #RussellBrand’s #BrandX show before #iTunes takes it down so that I can watch it (go buy it it’s like $10) and uh, the frame that #Handbrake chose for the preview incidentally looks like he’s getting some sort of gratification 😂

So I just bought the entirety of #RussellBrand’s #FX show #BrandX, and in my library it doesn’t show its art until I download the files. I wouldn’t be shocked if #iTunes deletes the show at midnight, or soon, so I highly recommend buying it if you’ve never seen it before, it’s only $10.

I’m not willing to host or facilitate piracy, but I do hope that somebody else archives the entire series somewhere as well.

Today, advertisers often reference their competitors by name and of course, draw negative comparisons.

In the past, they never did this and instead used terms such as "Brand X."

So I now like referring to the "Brand X" social media platform, which kind of has a double meaning.

P.S. There's another bit of apt symbolism that occurred to me when somebody posted that X is Musk's personal brand, and thus Musk has marked himself as the brand that, in many old commercials, got out-performed by the advertised brand. Yeah--
