If modern works sell less than the past it's due what I call #Brandkillers works on them: first they wrote #fanfictions, never took a step up and they pour it into serious works, especially serialized sagas by previous serious authors. The power is rewrite an existing character, protagonist especially, and change into one's own avatar, making author/character link stronger, due they're inept of make but repropose what they are and if they're #MarySue alé! A bad escapism type with good reasons
