Especially tiring were the last 20km towards Fürdenwalde. I somehow thought I finished the hard part as there were no more mountains. But it was extremely sandy and I was sneaking along with something around 10-15km/h.

@fedibikes_berlin Now I've finished the 218 km of the first section (of the ~1300km route). Took me 3 day trips over 6 weeks. The greenery in May definitely gives for a nicer ride experience.
The first section is noted on the webpage to be especially hard, which I agree on. After finishing it I don't even think it is well suited for gravel bikes. You'll probably have more fun on a hardtail.

It's really nicely planned to avoid bigger roads. Expect smaller sections where you have to push your bike. More annoying to me were the couple of tree trunks over which I had to lift my bike. I guess it's part of the expedition character of the route. I wouldn't recommend going below 50mm with tire size. -

Nice project from the Berlin bicycle community. I guess this is also interesting for some of the people around here. I'm certainly evaluating which parts of this route I might ride this year.
