I have had a crap week. I’ve had people tell me that “concentration camps are too good for you”. I’ve had people deadname me. I’ve had people complain when I’ve done or not done something, often with conflicting complaints both sides. I’ve been sworn at. I’ve been threatened.

I’ve had my looks, delivery, weight, clothing and make up criticized. And multiple people tell me different ways of saying one word I’m not saying the way they want.

And when I’ve said “hey, pack it in” people have gaslit me, told me to be less sensitive or get a different job.

So fuck it. This morning, before the storm hit, I went out for a short ride to blow cobwebs away. I took hammer on the freeway. I did some country lanes, and I even took a gravel track back home to practice my gravel skills because, gravel is a good thing to practice.

It is beautiful out there today. I rediscovered a little of my soul.

I also got to try out two of my birthday presents: a new set of earplugs, and my new #brakefree motorcycle light.
