Last mainline train for this trip : a comfortable :dsb: IC MF DMU will bring us to 🇩🇰 #Slagelse for a transfer by replacement bus. The IC MF are wonderful trains : spacious interior, a self-service coffee bar and lots of space for luggage. Leaving the cute :sj: EMU behind, from 🇸🇪 #Karlskrona on, a 3.5 hours :oeresund: ride got us from Sweden to 🇩🇰 #København - one step closer to #BornHack 🎉. #Braidspoor

Last stop for today 🇵🇱 #Gdynia, ferry port ⛴️. After tasty lunch and yet another :pkpic: Express InterCity Premium, now finally heading towards the long deserved bed for tonight 😴. #BornHack #Braidspoor

Next stop : Warszawa ! Taking the comfortable :pkpic: Express InterCity Premium for the most airline like experience 😐. Anyways, now close to the finale of my trip to #BornHack ; only one train left until we reach our ferry with comfortable beds ⛴️. #Braidspoor

Activement unlocked : I took a shower in Krakow central station 🚿 ! #Braidspoor

After the early border checks, now time for a tasty vegan :cd_rail: @diningcar breakfast : vegan sandwiches, bulgur salad, coffee and orange juice. An excellent offer to celebrate a successful #Braidspoor trip and to begin the journey to #BornHack this year 🎉 !

After a rather complicated discussion at the ticket counter and a quick rebooking of our tickets to 🇵🇱 Warsaw, we're finally settled for the day trip across Poland. Our destination for today : the Baltic Sea 🌊 for the last miles to #BornHack. #Braidspoor

🇵🇱 #Przemyśl, 7.30 a.m. after half an hour delay at the Ukrainian border checks in 🇺🇦 #Мостиська /Mostiska/, we're now waiting for the Schengen entry back into European Union. We already missed our :pkpic: :kb_ic: to 🇵🇱 #Krakow, that's why we can be relaxed in time with the border clearance, waiting for the next train to #BornHack . #Braidspoor

Break in 🇺🇦 Жмеринка /Zhmerinka/ : the vendors at the platform got us fresh, sweet and tasty raspberries and some yeast cake. Now onwards in the direction of 🇺🇦 Львів /Lviv/. Good night 😴. #Braidspoor

On my way to #BornHack ! Next change : 🇵🇱 #Przemyśl. For the next 16 hours, we'll be traveling in the :uz: Ш 036 all the way from 🇺🇦 Одеса /Odesa/ to Poland. #Braidspoor

🇺🇦 Одеса /Odesa/, 13.35 p.m., air strike alarm. Always keep in mind when traveling in 🇺🇦 Ukraine that they're still in defense against the Russian war 💣.

Aside from that, we had excellent breakfast and lunch ; now waiting for the departure of our :uz: Ш 36 to #BornHack ! #Braidspoor

🇺🇦 Одеса /Odesa/, 6.30 a.m. our train arrived 10 minutes ahead of time. We finally reached our destination : the beautiful beaches of the black sea. Time to take a break and enjoy the warm water before leaving for #BornHack in the afternoon 🥰. #Braidspoor

After tasty dinner, the #Braidspoor trip goes on : using the comfortable :uz: Ш 105 #Chronomorets flagship train with modern deluxe carriages we're traveling by night into the direction of 🇺🇦 #Одеса /Odesa/ for a relaxed swim in the black sea.

Arrived in 🇺🇦 #Київ /Kyiv/, 3 hours late. The :uz: ІС to carry our :kb_kurswagen: through carriages from :hu_ec: #Hortobágy already left a long time ago, our carriages were included into the :hu_gy: #Transcarpathia due to the delay. Sunset is yet beautiful above the cityscape, now time for tasty dinner. Damn, I was missing this city 🥰. #Braidspoor

Sadly there are no showers in the central station meaning we'll have to wait until 🇺🇦 Київ tomorrow. Now a couple of hours to be spent in Austria ; enough time to say hi to friends and visit the local hack space @metalab ! #Braidspoor

Désolée, est-ce que ce train nous porte vers 🇺🇦 Київ ? Non ? Quoi, seulement à destination de 🇩🇪 Woerth ? And so it starts : leaving the adorable :sncf: BB 67500 with the RRR push-pull set behind, a :db: class 628 first brings us across the border to Germany on the first day of our #Braidspoor trip.

Before leaving to my #Braidspoor trip next week, I still got a new travel backpack for @rosahaj and @eggbert for safe and comfortable travels 🥰.

Btw. УЗ schedule integration into European railway schedule data is getting better and better : all three mainline trains (D 40149, 105К, 036Ш) we'll be taking during #Braidspoor are present in European schedule. #CrossBorBorderRail
