It's coming up to a month since this escalator broke - the only one coming down from Box Hill Bus Station.

The only alternative route is much longer, down a poorly-lit and unpleasant staircase, or in a tiny and slow lift.

Thousands of people use this bus interchange every day and even when everything is working it's a pretty poor passenger experience. When things like this do break at a major stop like this one it's essential to fix it with the haste it deserves.

A curious #noisyminor perched itself on the table at the park the other day, #eaststkilda, whilst stopped for coffee and nature gazing.

I’d say, looking for crumbs from my fresh muffin I was scoffing at the time!

It was playing with three others prior.

Another park; #CaulfieldPark later… and #ducks were out paddling in the rain.

Also a trusting #pigeon in mid-step, in #boxhill just yesterday.

I believe this is a #honeylocust tree.

It is mostly found in the moist soil of river valleys of #NorthAmerica. Honey locust is highly adaptable to different environments, has been introduced worldwide, although it can be an aggressive, invasive species outside of its native setting.

#BoxHill #victoria #Australia is home to many, I’ve seen them in heaps of roundabout intersections. I’ve observed this tree over a month now, and it displays different shades of yellows, greens and burnt-orange, depending on the light and time of the day.

Sometimes it even appears fluorescent.

They can reach a height of 20–30 m (65–100 ft). They exhibit fast growth and live a life span of about 120 years, apparently.

It’s a beauty!

They are growing in abundance in #Melbourne’s #Boattanicgardens on a wild and windy day and whilst there is nil colour, they were proudly on display during my recent visit with the kids.

Even my youngest (Mr 7 yo) was a little besotted.

This greenery is from what my flora app tells me is a #ClammyLocust, #MossLocust… or another if about half a dozen other descriptions! Gosh my head is spinning.

Anyhow, whatever its name in any part of the world, this specimen is a beauty!

Was taken in a sunny day so its leaves displayed vibrantly in abundance. The sun almost helped make the leaves of this tree a kind of fluorescent in nature.

Delicate, yet displays strength and resilience, for mine.

I love the striking colours, minimalist of course, but that’s what makes this flowering shrub a delight.

It has needle-like leaves and red to orange flowers, and grows well in rocky places.

An urban balcony in #Hawthorn #Australia displays this beautiful greenery that is to die for.

Been noticing loads of balcony and apartment living flora on display lately, given the better weather (some may disagree, it has been might wet!!).

Most of them display abundantly from the outside building facade, to appreciative onlookers. I can only but imagine the awesomeness of this fauna environment from the inside. 🙏💚

My flora ID app tells me this is a #ClimbingFig, growing happily in the suburb of #Kew #Australia.

I love formal gardens and my ‘like’ of them, extends to property / boundary walls that contain growth.

But in my book, they must be well maintained. Otherwise, forget about it!

This for mine, is visually pleasing (who needs colour when it’s this nice!) and food for the soul!!

I noticed this #PortlandRose bush over a period of a few days and I just hadn’t had time to stop. But eventually I did!

And I am so glad because up close, it was one of the most aromatic and visually pleasing roses I have been in the presence of, this summer.

Teeming with pollinating #bees this beautiful bush was the feature of this suburban garden.

Couple of hours prior to dusk yesterday. Looking south-west with lowering sun reflecting beautifully off the clouds.

Cloud formations and sky colour was breathtaking.
