'At its 2025 convention, the DSA voted to support Palestinian resistance, […] affirming the right of return, Jerusalem as the capital. Yet in contradiction, they also passed new rules requiring candidates to support BDS and cut ties with Zionist lobbies — an uneasy compromise that captures both the break and its limits.'

James #Bowman in his essay on #Honour [1] claims two things:

1. The concept of honour is completely gone in the current society
2. Honour never changed from its original sexist machismo-based concept of violent man and chaste and innocent woman.

I believe that both claims are very wrong. Yes, the word is abandoned, but the moral concept is very alive, only in the very changed form.
