Lovely springlike and picturesque morning doing the #BourtonOnTheWater 10k with my old buddy Hedley. Quickest time of the year so far for either of us, and had a lovely coffee and croissant afterwards too. What a middle-aged, middle-class Sunday!

We went to #BourtonOnTheWater today, hoping that on a cold grey Monday there might be a parking space to be had. Nope.

#bourtononthewater need to get their act together. Making 70 and 80-year-olds walk 15 minutes from the coach drop to the High Street along very narrow pavements with aggressive drivers and some roads with no pavement whatsoever is a joke.
Why don’t they just put a sign up at the entrance to the village which says elderly and disabled not welcome?

I shared a photo on our Pixey account of a parrot in #Birdland but felt like sharing another here from this trip we took in 2011. This is a #BlackThroatedLaughingThrush according to my phone, and I love the effect that's come from taking this shot through the wire cage.

Máme pátek, prázdniny, hurá na výlet. Zůstáváme v Cotswolds a dnes se přesuneme do městečka Bourton on the Water (odtud byl i tučňák z předchozího postu).
Malé město na vodě, staré domky, krásné restaurace, Motor muzeum... Rozhodně by byla chyba tohle místo minout, když budete na západě Anglie -

Kingsbridge Inn in Bourton-on-the-Water. A lot of the countryside here looks exactly like Pennsylvania… so much in England to love. (Driving on the left, not so much. But the way the traffic ‘works’ here is SO much better than in the states!) #roundaboutConvert
