#IRC was a big thing when I started using computers. After years of using _more modern_ (closed-source, we-track-you-to-death) #chat messenger, I yesterday installed #halloy - a very-capable IRC client in combination with the soju bouncer (and also without).
What a breeze of fresh air. Halloy works flawless on macOS and Linux and connects automatically to soju after setting up auth. It looks very good, has a ton of themes and can be extensively configured.
Very happy to be back at IRC using Libera.Chat.
