Eh beh. J'suis pas prêt à chauffer cette lava lamp avec une bougie à huile maison..
Plein de tutos disent que c'est super simple (et ça a l'air !), mais je n'ai pas réussi à avoir une plus grosse flamme que ça (au moins, elle ne s'éteint plus après 5 min !).
Vous avez des astuces ?
Une mèche particulière peut-être ?
Un porte-mèche ? J'ai tenté avec du liège, ça l'a brûlé -forcément-. Je testerai en l'emballant de papier aluminium. -
Well now that the puppies are gone, I’m back to regular posts. Long time followers will remember we were making Hoshigaki (Dried persimmon - see previous posts on this if interested ). They are ready. Here is one sliced and paired with a Cypress Grove midnight moon Gouda. Crackers not shown. I prefer it to quince paste. Better tooth and nice flavors. Paired this with a Law Grenache/Syrah from Paso Robles. #bougie

I'm aware some people love it. I don't.
In a cabin with all the comforts, sure. But tenting it on bare earth with bugs in my food isn't my idea of fun.
I have a competitive streak. To give you an idea, I went to Girl Guide camp every year to earn my badges even though I detested it. I got the All 'Round Cord (highest acheievement in Guides at the time). I can tell you I've never needed to build a fire or make eggs in a bag since, being an urban dweller. Good thing, as I've forgotten.
