  6. Cardinal blessed the Church in BiH which is built by Muslim

Retired Cardinal Vinko Puljic blessed the newly built Votive Church of Our Lady of the
    #Angels in #Bugojno today.

Husein Smajic, in 2014, quite by accident discovered the foundations of a medieval
#Catholic church from the 15th century on his property, in the locality of #Crkvina, in which a female skeleton wrapped in gilded cloth was found, which historians suspect to be #Bosnian #Queen Jelena Gruba.

    In agreement with
#Cardinal #Puljic, it was decided to build an identical church near this archaeological site, which he announced would be a church of peace, reconciliation and respect.

The church was built by Smajic with his own money, but also with donations.

About a thousand people from all parts of
#Bosnia and #Herzegovina, as well as the diaspora, attended the blessing of the #church.

  7. The #Vrbas is a major #river with a length of 250 kilometres, in western #Bosnia and #Herzegovina. It is a right tributary of the Sava river.

The word vrba means “willow” in
#Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian, and a number of weeping willow trees adorn the river banks.

It lent its name to one of the provinces (banovinas) of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Vrbas Banovina.

The Vrbas river appears at the southern slope of the
#Vranica mountain near the town of Gornji Vakuf, at around 1,530 metres (5,020 ft) above sea level and it drains central part of the northern slopes of the Dinaric mountain massif. It empties into the Sava river at around 90 metres (300 ft) above sea level. The total length of the main watercourse is around 250 kilometres (160 mi).
