I know the #MadEllie DLC for #Borderlands4 got some flak for being short, and I kind of agree. But hot dang some of the writing is just great.
They dialed the... overt humor down quite a bit in BL4, a little too far IMO. But there's still a lot of more subtle, still fun writing like this.
If you or someone you know bounced off the 'louder' humor in BL2 and 3, but still are interested in this series, BL4's writing might be a fit. The game has problems, but I still enjoy it. Played through first as Vex (Siren), now on a run with Harlowe (scientist / techno-siren).
